You can create or upload audio files for use on your call queues, voicemail greetings, menus and more.
There are three methods to create audio files …
(A) Upload a pre-recorded audio file
(B) Dial *50 from your app or device to make a new recording
(C) Write a message that will be read out using your choice of Text to Speech voice actor.
Audio files are created, uploaded and stored in the Audio section of your Dashboard.
1. From the Main Menu, head to Audio > Audio Files
2. Click the Add Audio button in the top-right corner to begin.
Once you have clicked the Add Audio button, the first of the three tabs presented to you is the Upload Audio tab.
Click here to upload a prerecorded file from your computer.
Simply give your file a Name, enter an appropriate Label to describe the audio file (optional), select a file Type to identify it’s intended purpose (this is cosmetic), and then click the blue Browse button to select a file from your device.
Click on the Save Changes button to complete the upload.
Swapping to the Record Audio tab will prompt you to dial *50 from your Yay.com app or registered VoIP phone. When dialled, you just need to follow the audible instructions.
The newly recorded file will appear in the Audio Files section of the Dashboard. From here, the new recording can be downloaded, played, edited (name/label), or deleted using the icons to the right-hand side.
*Note, this feature is only available on the Premium Plan
To create Audio files using text-to-speech, go to Audio > Audio Files > Add Audio and navigate to the Text to Speech tab.
In the Text to Speech area of the dashboard, there is a box in which you can type your audio script. You can click on the Preview TTS button to the right to hear your script being read out by the default voice actor. You can change the actor's voice using the Voice Type, Language, and Actor drop-down boxes.
In the Audio File Details section at the bottom, simply give your file a Name, enter an appropriate Label to describe the audio file (optional) and select a file Type to identify it’s intended purpose (this is cosmetic). Click Save Changes to create the audio file.
