The Yealink DECT base stations (W52P, W60B, W70B, etc…) can sometimes be a bit more difficult to factory reset when they don’t have a display of their own.
There are 3 main ways to factory reset one of these devices, please see below detailing each option.
Manual base reset:
This method allows you to factory reset the base station even if you have no handset connected or no internet connection!
1. Unplug the power supply.
2. Long-press the Paging button, do not release this.
3. Plug the power supply, and observe the LED indicator lights until they all light up.
4. Now release the Paging button
5. Unplug the power supply and plug back (power-cycle) to complete the reset
From a connected handset:
With a handset already paired to the base station, you can factory reset it from there instead.
1. Press ‘OK’ to take you to the main menu
2. Go to Settings and then System Settings
3. Select ‘Base Reset’
4. Enter the default pin ‘0000’ and select ‘Reset to Factory’, then confirm
5. The three lights on the base station should gradually turn back on
6. Once all three lights are on, the factory reset has completed
From the web interface:
This method is best used when you don’t have a connected handset to the base station, and don’t have physical access to where the base station is located.
1. You will first need to get the IP of the base station from the handset by going to Menu > Status > Base, and this will retrieve the base’s IPv4 address
2. On a computer connected to the same network as the base station, type in the IP address into the URL of a web browser
a. This should be done in the format of https://[Your-IP-Address]
3. The default login will be
a. Username: admin
b. Password: admin
4. If you have a handset connected:
a. Turn off the handset by pressing and holding the End Call button on the handset itself
5. In the GUI, navigate to Settings > Upgrade and click Reset to Factory Settings
6. Once the base has both the power and network light on, the factory reset has now completed
a. Press and hold the End Call button on the handset to turn this back on, and it should automatically register back to the base station
